This single cask beer brandy is distilled from beer and aged for eight years in wooden casks.
This premium beer brandy is mild-flavoured and owes its malty character to the beer, which is used during the production process.
To produce this whisky-like drink, we use the beers from our brewery. The malt mash from the brewing process and residual beer from on-trade casks, we distil through a triple distillation column to produce a pure and clear distillate, of no less than 75% alcohol. This distillate is aged in a French Limousin oak barrel, which in the past was used for maturing German red wine.
After three years of lagering, we select the cask with the best ageing flavour to age longer. We do not mix this cask with other barrels, which is why it may bear the name single cask. With the extra maturation and oxidation, this beer brandy loses its sharp edges and the flavours present become increasingly balanced among themselves. Our single cask beer brandy is softer than our three-year-old single malt beer brandy and with every sip you will discover new flavours.
