White beer 5%

White beer with orange peel and coriander seeds. The typical taste of wheat beer comes from the use of a proportion of wheat malt combined with the spices. Compared to barley malt, the malt has a slightly fresher, slightly sour taste. This often makes wheat beers a favourite in summer. This effect is enhanced by the use of few hops, so very mild and not bitter in flavour. And coriander and orange peel for the fresh, fruity flavour.

Serafijn's recipe is the same as the famous Witte Raaf that made the former brewery big. De Raaf was the first in the Netherlands to brew white beer, so this makes Serafijn the first Dutch white beer.

This wheat beer is brewed in classic Belgian style, these are always made with coriander and a citrus fruit in it.
